Privacy policy

What modscode.com and its MCP connector record, read from the site’s own code. In short: a count of views per page and day, and nothing about who viewed.

Effective 2026-10-07.

What is recorded

Only page views, as counts. When a page of this site opens, its script (/site.js) sends the page's path once per page per browser session to this site's own /api/view. The Worker adds one to that page's row for the day (Japan time) in a Cloudflare D1 database. A row holds the page, the day and the count, nothing more: no IP address, no cookie, no user agent, no referrer and no identifier. Requests from crawlers and from other sites are not counted.

The totals are public: /api/stats returns the views of the site and of each mod's page, today, over the last 7 days and in all.

What is used and not kept

To stop abuse, /mcp and /api/view are limited per IP address (60 requests a minute) with Cloudflare's rate limiting. The address is used only to apply that limit; modscode does not write it to its database or keep it.

The MCP connector

  • The connector at https://modscode.com/mcp is read-only and needs no sign-in and no account.
  • It receives only what your client sends in a tool call (such as the words in pattern or query), not your conversation. It uses them to answer that one call and does not store them.
  • It answers from the files this site publishes under /data/ and fetches nothing from outside Cloudflare.

Cookies, analytics and other scripts

  • No cookies, no analytics or tracking tools, no ads, and no scripts or fonts from other sites (the site's Content Security Policy allows only its own files).
  • Two things stay in your own browser and are not sent anywhere: your light or dark choice, in localStorage once you press the theme button, and a mark that this session's view of a page was counted, in sessionStorage.

Third parties

modscode sells nothing and shares no data with anyone. The site and the connector run on Cloudflare (Workers, static assets and D1), which carries every request as the host; Cloudflare's own handling of requests follows its privacy policy. Links to GitHub and other sites lead to their own policies.

Changes

When what is recorded changes, this page changes with it and its date moves.
