Claude Code (terminal)

claude mcp add --transport http modscode https://modscode.com/mcp

What it can do

  • find_code_examples: give it a pattern (pane, band, status line, toast, deny a tool call, rewrite the prompt, slash command, $.store, userConfig, tool) or words such as "a pane with buttons" or "deny rm -rf", and it returns real mods' code that does it, with the smallest form and each licence's text.
  • search_mods: find mods by words, by where they draw and by the elements they use, and leave out mods whose code reaches the network, programs, files, environment variables or the model.
  • get_code: the lines of one mod's own code that draw it, with its licence text, or links to them.
  • get_mod: one mod's design (the element tree with its props per place), what its code reaches, and a starter register.tsx written from the design.

Try asking

  • Use modscode to find mod code that blocks rm -rf, then write me one that also blocks git push --force.
  • Show me the code of a mod that draws a pane with buttons and doesn't use the network, and build a test-results pane from it.

What it is not

  • It runs no mod and installs nothing. It reads only the code reference and the gallery, and it does not vouch for any mod: check one yourself before you install it.
  • It asks for no sign-in, keeps no record of what you ask, and stores nothing; requests are limited to 60 a minute per address.
  • Code from a mod comes with its licence. Keep the notice when you reuse it.
