Share Mods Code, keep it free
Mods Code and its MCP are free today. Share Mods Code now, send us the link, and as one of its first founding supporters you keep free whatever part of it is ever paid.
How to take part
- Share Mods Code somewhere public, in your own words: a post on X, Bluesky, Reddit or Hacker News, a blog post, a video, or the Mods Code badge in your mod's README. Say what you liked and what you did not. Mods Code asks for no wording and reads nothing before you post.
- Send the link with the contact form. The form starts the message for you.
- Once Mods Code has seen the share, you are a founding supporter, up to the first 1,000 people, counted in the order the entries arrive. If you ask, your name and a link to your share go on this page.
What founding supporters get
- Free for good. If Mods Code ever charges for anything (more MCP calls, for example), founding supporters keep it free for as long as Mods Code offers it, for their own use, with the same limits as a paying user. When paid plans start, ask for it with the contact form, giving the GitHub or X name from your entry; Mods Code checks it against its record of entries.
- A share of what Mods Code earns. Once Mods Code has paid plans, each month 10% of that month's revenue is split among up to 10 supporters whose shares helped Mods Code most that month. Each supporter receives at most US$10,000 in all, over every month together; after that, free use stays. Mods Code's operator chooses them, by how many people a share reached and how many it sent here, where that can be seen. How the money is paid, and any tax the law has Mods Code withhold from it, is set before the first payment.
Say that you get something
You get free use for sharing, so say so where readers see it: "Ad", "PR" or "#ad" at the start of the post, or a sentence such as "Mods Code gives me free use for sharing this." Not hidden among other hashtags. A share counts for the share of revenue only if it says so; for free use, Mods Code asks it of everyone.
The terms
- The offer is for shares made while Mods Code is free. It ends when 1,000 founding supporters are reached, or on a day announced on this page at least 30 days before, whichever comes first. This page says when the 1,000 places are taken.
- One founding supporter per person. A share has to be public when Mods Code looks at it.
- No spam, no fake or bought accounts, no copies of the same post. Mods Code may turn down or remove an entry that breaks these rules, and says why.
- A change to these terms applies to entries made after it, and never takes away what a supporter already has.
